ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Max Frisch is an artist and designer, from Kansas City, MO and founder of YINDIVISION.

YINDIVISION is the hub for all of Max’s creative work with a focus on fashion. He also has a deep interest in illustration, photography/videography.

At 26 years old, Max has spent the last 8 years trying out different art forms and following his interest wherever it leads. At some point along the way, he discovered Eastern philosophy which became a huge inspirstion for his artwork going forward. Eventually, this lead to YINDIVISION.

YIN is the dark side of yin-yang which is often associated with qualities such as introspection, emtpiness, calmness, depth, decay. A lotus flower roots in mud and darkness, (yin qualities), before growing into a bright flower, that sits above the water in the sunlight (yang qualities). The lotus flower is a perfect representation of how people view Yin, it is often overlooked and under appreciated, yet vital and equally important.

Max’s mission is to give light to what is often overlooked and to show the beauty/importance of these often hidden qualities through fashion and visual art.
